The Adaptive Sports and Recreation Association is an athlete-centered, volunteer driven organization. With the help of dedicated, enthusiastic, and hardworking volunteers, we are able to EMPOWER and INSPIRE our athletes to THRIVE!  Thousands of hours of volunteer time are needed annually to ensure the quality of our programs.

Our volunteers come from various backgrounds:

  • occupational therapists
  • social workers
  • teachers
  • physical therapists
  • welders
  • students
  • and the list goes on …

We are always looking for:

  • Certified coaches in basketball, soccer, hockey, and track & field
  • Experience in marketing/PR/Social Media/Graphic Design
  • Volunteers able to help repair and maintain equipment

We will train:

  • wheelchair basketball volunteers
  • sled hockey volunteers
  • track and field volunteers
  • guide runners for athletes with visual impairments
  • camp volunteers
  • event volunteers
  • fundraisers

 All Volunteers must:

  • Register (link beow)
  • Sign waivers and attend orientation 
  • Obtain Background Check

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals, ages 16 and up, to lend a helping hand and make a difference in the greater San Diego Community (individuals age 14 or 15 may volunteer upon approval).
