Things We Need

ITEMS WE NEED

Our programs are funded through generous donations, grants and corporate sponsorships. Every dollar spent directly impacts the quality of experience that we are able to offer. As our needs grow, we will express them in this section of the website. Please contact us for more details or use the Donate Button.

We need an indoor storage site!

We are in dire need of storage space for our equipment. Ideally a site that is at least 2,000 square feet that would allow us in and out privileges, and to be able to repair and maintain our equipment.

Wheelchair sports chairs

We are currently in need for a minimum of 5 new sports chairs to service our growing programs including wheelchair basketball, wheelchair soccer, and wheelchair rugby. On average a sports chair will cost $2,500.

Sled Hockey Sticks and Picks

This program is rapidly growing and we can use the following equipment to keep our players on the ice and safe!

Sled hockey sticks and picks (sled hockey specific)
Helmets
Gloves
Elbow pads
Shoulder pads
Shin guards
Pucks

Wheelchair racing chairs

Racing chairs cost between $2,500 and $4,000 depending on athlete needs and chair design. We need at least 5 new racing chairs.

Throwing frames & platforms

Throwing frames are used by athletes to throw shot put, discus, javelin and the club. Frames are strapped or “tied down” to the platform so that the chair does not move while the athlete throws. Frames typically cost $700-$1,000 and it costs about $400 to build a platform.

Ongoing equipment needs

  • tires
  • axels
  • strapping
  • tape
  • throwing implements

Equipment trailer & vehicle

As our program quickly grows, we are experiencing a need for a trailer and a vehicle to tow it to competitions, events and practices.

  • Trailer needs: an enclosed 10-12′ travel trailer to transport our equipment. These trailers cost between $2,000 and $3,000.
  • An 8-15 passenger vehicle capable of pulling at 12′ trailer to tournaments, as well as, hauling gear at least 3 days a week to ongoing practices.
